8/22/13 Sharing His Word with Thoughtful Thursday

 2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV)

 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Scripture Reflection:

Casting down (discourage, reject) imaginations (thoughts, ideas) and every high (lofty) thing (anything) that exalteth (praises) itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity (detain, confine) every thought (imagination, idea) to the obedience (submission, conformity) of Christ;

Scripture Application:

1)      Reject every thought or idea that is not in agreement with God.

2)      Reject anything that praises itself against God’s teaching.

3)      Exercise control over your mind by renewing it continually with God’s Word.

4)      Practice purposeful submission to Christ in all aspects of your life.

Have a wonderful day and may God bless you always. Amen!

I am a daughter of God, a servant of the Lord, a wife to a patient husband, and a mama of two forgiving boys. God has placed these three men in my life needfully so. I thank Him for them everyday. And like so many of the Lord’s children, I am a work-of-glory-in-progress. I am on a journey to reclaim and renew my life in Christ. It took me 34 years to learn that when nothing else works, God does!
