8/24/13 Sharing His Word with Sanctified Saturday

Acts 26:18 (NASB)

18 to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.’

Scripture Reflection:

18 to open (unwrap, unclutter, perceive) their eyes (discernment, examine)so that they may turn from darkness (evil, sin, disobedience) to light (good, lawful, love) and from the dominion of Satan (evil, sin, disobedience)  to God (one true Almighty, sovereign, merciful, holy) that they (man) may receive forgiveness (pardon, absolution, exoneration) of sins and an inheritance (legacy, birthright, heritage) among those (faithful, obedient) who have been sanctified (sacred, blessed, holy) by faith (belief, reliance, devotion, loyalty, dedication, commitment, trust, conviction, confidence, assurance) in Me (God, Jesus Christ).’

Scripture Application:

1)      God has given us the gift of knowledge between what is right and what is wrong through His Word in the bible. He is not asking us to try to figure it out, no, it is all there outlined in the bible, instructions for everlasting life.

2)      Allow the knowledge of His Word to live actively in your heart by reading, speaking, and meditating upon His Word.

3)      Commit yourself through discernment and examination to eagerly perceive the communications and actions surrounding you; either said done and by you or by others. Are they of light; good, lawful to God, and walking in love or are they of the darkness; evil, sin and disobedience.

4)      Whatsoever is found in and around your life that lives in the dark MUST go; remove it, turn from it, repent of it.

  1. 2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

5)      Sanctify yourself, readily and continually faithful in all works done for the glory of God and by the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior receive forgiveness from sin.

Have a wonderful day and may God bless you always. Amen!

I am a daughter of God, a servant of the Lord, a wife to a patient husband, and a mama of two forgiving boys. God has placed these three men in my life needfully so. I thank Him for them everyday. And like so many of the Lord’s children, I am a work-of-glory-in-progress. I am on a journey to reclaim and renew my life in Christ. It took me 34 years to learn that when nothing else works, God does!
