9/3/13 Sharing His Word with Meditation Monday
Isaiah 5:12-13 (NASB)
12 Their banquets (are accompanied by lyre and harp, by tambourine and flute, and by wine; But they do not pay attention to the deeds of the Lord, Nor do they consider the work of His hands. 13 Therefore My people go into exile for their lack of knowledge; And their honorable men are famished, And their multitude is parched with thirst.
12 Their banquets (feasts, dinner, gathering) are accompanied by lyre and harp, tambourine and flute, and by wine; But they do not pay attention (consider, acknowledge) to the deeds (conduct) of the Lord, Nor do they consider the work (labor, effort) of His hands. 13 Therefore My people (His own) go into exile (banish, cast out, separate) for their lack of knowledge (attention, understanding, wisdom); And their honorable (proper, good, principled) men are famished (wanting, lacking, needing), And their multitude (mass, crowd, whole host) is parched (dried up, desperate for, scorched) with thirst (yearning, ache).
1) Recognize His handiwork in every blessing.
2) Give thanks to the Lord in and for everything.
3) Do not cast yourself out of His sight with an ungrateful and unpleasing heart.
4) Make the Lord your number one priority, live and walk in His word and His ways.
5) Read, speak, and meditate upon His Word.
Have a wonderful day and may God bless you always. Amen!
