Faith Produces Humility

This post is a great reminder of all the amazing things God does for us. He builds us up in Him, and brings us places we could never go on our own but in all this we MUST stay humble and be intensely aware of where our help/betterment comes from – God alone! These wonderful things are not for us to brag or boast about – they are God’s not ours. Please take a few minutes to prayerfully consider this Spirit-filled message.

When God first saves us, He does an incredible work in our lives, a deep change. His calling upon our lives comes with many blessings, many gifts – and God is so rich! But these changes and blessings are not the primary thing that has happened to us at that particular time. The Bible tells us exactly what happens at the moment of salvation.

The most important thing that happens at the moment of our salvation, the Bible says, is that God is imputing His righteousness upon us. Not our righteousness, but His. This “imputing of righteousness” is something that God does Himself; it is the single thing where He absolutely does not require us to do anything in order to receive it. I am a daughter of God, a servant of the Lord, a wife to a patient husband, and a mama of two forgiving boys. God has placed these three men in my life needfully so. I thank Him for them everyday.
