What If I Told You We All Have Problems – Our Problems Prompt Praise

Matthew 12:36-37 I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.

We all have problems and issues. Some of us more frequently than others. Some of us more severe than others. I know it’s tempting to give full vent to our frustrations, especially on social media. It’s so easy to do and God knows we have trouble controlling ourselves (and mouths) Right?! Wrong! Deep down on the inside we know social media venting is not the way! If we really THINK it through, no one wants to contract the dreaded TSR syndrome – Type, Send, Regret! Whether up close and personal or online, fully venting our frustrations typically brings more destruction than relief and any reprieve is most always temporary. But there is another way, I encourage you to make a decision, please decide – RIGHT NOW, TODAY – to spend your words praising an Almighty, All-Powerful, Awesome God instead of giving your problems undeserved airtime. I’m not saying hide your problems and pretend your perfect. I’m simply suggesting that when something negative happens, instead of seething or exploding, shift the focus off ourselves and praise God for who He is.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Something went wrong? …praise God.
Relationship issues? …praise God.
Bad break? …praise God.
Finance issues? …praise God.
Failing? …praise God.
Tough situation? ….praise God.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Even when we can’t see or understand the things happening in or around our lives, we must have faith in what God is doing behind the scenes. No matter what life looks like, God is still, and will always be perfect and praiseworthy. In Him we find hope. In Him we find someOne worth praising! Everything else may fail but He is always perfect and worthy of our praise!

God bless you!

I am a daughter of God, a servant of the Lord, a wife to a patient husband, and a mama of two forgiving boys. God has placed these three men in my life needfully so. I thank Him for them everyday. And like so many of the Lord’s children, I am a work-of-glory-in-progress. I am on a journey to reclaim and renew my life in Christ. It took me 34 years to learn that when nothing else works, God does!

    Great post Jennifer!
Praise is the answer. As we do that it magnifies God in our eyes. How we need to see God for who He is!!
