Anyone can share a picture that says they are a Christian, that they love Jesus, etc. but if their life doesn’t honor God in the daily what’s the point of making that claim? We display who we acknowledge by what we say, do, and think (our opinions). We should strive to acknowledge Jesus in ‘real life’ – every day, with every word, every action, and in every situation. We should be mindful that what we *chose* to acknowledge on social media reflects in every like, share, and comment we make. Everyone who friends or follows us gets a front row seat for the play by play that is our ‘social media feed’. They see it all, every click – the good, the questionable, and the character wounding. We must be self-controlled and careful Christians, lest we prove ourselves to be hypocrites. We should acknowledge Jesus Christ in a way that rightfully honors Him, in a way that is worthy of His magnificence, and in a way that others will see and then glorify our Father in heaven. Not by sharing a meaningless picture with words on it, but by action.
“Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when He judges the world.” – 1 Peter 2:12
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16
My prayer for you:
May God’s Spirit empower you to flee from all wickedness and run toward righteousness with the perseverance and endurance to walk in obedience and self-control while rightfully acknowledging and glorifing God the Father in everything through the mighty Name of Jesus Christ. May this be His Will for you. AMEN.
God’s every grace and peace to you. Persevere in Him Sweet Souls.
