Press On – 2017 And Philippians 3

Move forward, forget what lies behind, press on, reach the goal, move forward, forget what lies behind, press on, reach the goal. Happy New Year!

Philippians 3:12-14 “Not that I have already obtained it [this goal of being Christlike] or have already been made perfect, but I actively press on so that I may take hold of that [perfection] for which Christ Jesus took hold of me and made me His own. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

God bless you!

Jennifer – I Give God All The Glory

I am a daughter of God, a servant of the Lord, a wife to a patient husband, and a mama of two forgiving boys. God has placed these three men in my life needfully so. I thank Him for them everyday. And like so many of the Lord’s children, I am a work-of-glory-in-progress. I am on a journey to reclaim and renew my life in Christ. It took me 34 years to learn that when nothing else works, God does!

    Hi Jennifer,

Loved this. I wish you a very blessed 2017!

This post caught my eye as I’ll be starting to write a Bible study on Philippians next month and hosting beginning in March. I guess it’s like when you get a new car and then start noticing that same model on the road. I guess I’m just starting to perk up whenever I see something from that particular letter.

    Love that verse, especially!

    Blessings of truth and grace,

    Laura Naiser

    • Hello! Very blessed 2017 to you as well, sweet sister! Thanks for sharing. You’re totally right. God definitely has creative ways of showing up everywhere we honor Him. I love when He ties subjects and verses together from several sources and other believers. He has amazing ways of affirming our path by intricately weaving all these pieces into a breathtaking tapestry of Truth-filled-grace. He is a good, good Father! I pray He is ever present – before, behind, and all around you – guiding and blessing the work of your hands. May He use you boldly for His Kingdom this and every year!

      God bless you!
