        I love that phraise…a “God-sized prayer!” I’m going to use it somewhere…
In this world, there is always more work to do than workers to do it! So every resource needs to be put to use.
Enjoy your day, and God love and be with you, Jennifer!

Hi Jennifer, what an inspiring blog you have and a great list of resources here! I too particularly like BibleGateway and the YouVersion Bible app and use them almost daily.

Another helpful resource I like is Strong’s Interlinear Search tool on You can use it to look up Bible passages and drill down to get a deeper understanding of a word in the original Hebrew or Greek. Really inspiring and powerful to deepen one’s understanding of passages such as 1 Corinthians 13 and so many more.

May you continue to be blessed in Christ 🙂

    • Karen,

The body of Christ is called to work in unity – as one – through the redemption and salvation of Jesus. How much more can we be blessed than to help our fellow man get closer to God?! Oh, how I long to do just that and I get the feeling you do too 🙂 I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your interaction here 🙂 I will visit to try out your recommended resource – I’m praying it brings enlightenment and a deeper understanding of the Bible, then I’ll add it to this list and credit you for the find. Thank you 🙂

      God bless you.

    • Karen, is neat. I like the way, like you said, we can gain a deeper understanding of a word in the original Hebrew of Greek context – although, it can be problematic if you dont understand either of those languages (as much as I’d ♥ to, I don’t) so then we’d have to do some more research. With that in mind, for digging deeper under normal circumstances, I much prefer the ‘show resources’ portion that is listed next to every verse of As much time as we spend in the Word, it’s always wonderful to learn more ways to research deeper! Thanks again for sharing.

      God bless you.

Hi Jennifer, I got to thinking more about what you’d written here on your page – here are two more resources that really blessed me.

Regarding Proverbs 31, I have given it study and am still in the process of taking it all in and becoming like her more and more (I have a *long* ways to go, lol) . One blogger’s perspective that helped deepen my understanding in this area specifically in regards to being “industrious” can be found here:

Another powerful resource comes via the Duggar family (I do not have TV to watch their show – however was really impressed with this resource) – a list of godly character qualities along with accompanying Bible verses: What is really neat about the list – when I looked up each verse supporting each quality in the Bible, I learned a whole new way of studying the Bible. It is kind of hard to explain; it was just pretty deep though and encouraging in the Lord.

Amber who blogs here was the one who originally shared that resource.

So … just a few more resources for anyone looking to grow in Him.

    • Karen,

See, I knew you were passionate about sharing God and bringing others closer to Him – glory to God – His Spirit is strong in you 🙂 I am humbled and honored that this post resonated so deeply within your heart that you came back with even more suggestions! Glory to God!

The epitome of a woman, glory to God, O, Lord where can she be found?! I am a self-professed messy momma who’s a far cry off from a P31 poster-woman 🙂 Some days I wonder if it’s even attainable. But there in the darkness of self defeat, the most powerful voice in the universe whispers and says… Matthew 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

And the Spirit within me ignites like a raging inferno! Phillipians 4: 13 becomes my battle cry…”I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

We can do it Sister-in-Christ! Yes, we can! Thanks again for your recommended resources. I’ve added the 60 Christian character traits to a few of my posts, I’m interested to look at the Dugger family website to see what they have. I will review all the resources you’ve provided and add them to the list where appropriate as well as give you credit for the share.

      Thanks and God bless.

    • Karen,

I spent some time reviewing two of the resources you mentioned – – this was wonderfully insightful, I also read the men’s version of it too & the Duggar family Character qualites – the link you provided gave me an error but I used Google to get the pdf version of their list. It is very similar to the 60 Christian character traits but I like the way they set it up.

      Two great finds!

Thanks for sharing and God bless.

  4. Karen says:

I was thinking (uh-oh! lol) and praying some more this afternoon and was thinking some more about Proverbs 31 and that character qualities chart from the Duggars. Here is how their chart benefited me. I have always tended to read the Bible quite literally, taking things word for word when in reality that may not be the way it was intended to be interpreted.

In looking up the verses on their chart, I learned to look at a Bible verse and ask myself, “What character quality is represented by the content of this verse?” So that when you look at it that way, Proverbs 31 becomes much less daunting/overwhelming. It becomes a process of reading each verse about the Proverbs 31 woman and asking myself, “What character quality/qualities are represented by her actions in this verse?” And, “How can I develop said character quality in my life?”

So that is a less literal way to interpret it, and I’m sure of course probably not the only way. However, perhaps it then makes it easier to apply and develop those particular traits in our modern day lives. I once had a man suggest to me that one cannot be a Proverbs 31 woman who is not married without children. (I’ve never married or had children.) He misses the point of the chapter. It’s not a matter of replicating her *actions* but rather developing her *character*. 🙂

Sorry to yack your ear off lol but just a few thoughts the Lord placed on my heart to share…

    • Karen,

You’re a gem! That’s a great way to break it down – you’re on to something there! ★IDEA★ – perhaps, you should write up a quick reference guide or detailed blog post – yay!

      God bless you.

      • Karen says:

Aw, thank you and thank you for listening! I got to thinking the same a little after writing that! There is so much in my mind and heart right now that I am sorting out – it is all jumbled lol. I hope to update my blog soon. 🙂

      • You’re most welcome! I know how you feel – I have pages upon pages to sort and prayerfully consider posting. Keep me posted!

        God bless you.

  5. Karen says:

Perhaps it is a bit presumptuous to say the Lord placed the above on my heart – I should say I felt compelled to share it. “Test all things; hold fast what is good.” 1 Thessalonians 5:21

    • No apologies needed – you to can write my ear off all you want! 🙂 It’s all GOOD! I like the way you put this…”Perhaps it is a bit presumptuous to say the Lord placed the above on my heart – I should say I felt compelled to share it.” Great verse to back it up too! Let all we do be first sent through His filter and tested!

Seriously, God bless you, you’re a gem!
